Firesides are relaxed, inter-faith events where we investigate and discuss, in considerable depth, a topic of particular interest.
A fireside usually begins with a short talk, from a Bahá'í scholarship perspective, on the selected topic. This is followed by a guided discussion. Questions and additional insights from the guests are highly encouraged; the intent is to share knowledge and ideas so that everyone leaves the room with a greater understanding of the issue than they had before.
Some recent fireside topics include:
- Scientific and religious approaches to the search for truth
- Trouble abroad and what we can do about it
- Serving the needs of the local community
These events are welcoming to people of any (or no) faith, the only requirement being an open mind.
